We just got this really cool bunk-bed for my son. But its rather difficult to make the fetchin’ bed every morning. I have to crawl up there and re-arrange everything; fluff the pillows, straighten the blankets and organize all the animal. He likes stuffed animals. I demanded he keep the number of animals to a minimum, as before, his bed would be covered head to foot with them! and of course, I have to make sure they all face upwards in an orderly manor. Why I ask, do I do this every day…? My mom did it for me and I remember being thankful each night for a crisp fresh bed; I loved it so much. and I think he does appreciate me when I make the bed each morning before the suns rises. XO

You are not doing him any favors. I recently heard that the MTC in Provo has written instructions on how to make a bed. I thought, “what kid gets to be 19 and doesn’t know how to make a bed”? I guess a lot of them.
Let his bedroom be his domain. He gets to make his own bed and have it as messy as he likes. Maybe even some pics on the wall that you don’t approve of.
What a cozy fun place to sleep! And I agree with Kim, let him enjoy the messy fun of being with all the cute little “aminols” without having to “make” the bed. Of course, he can always help when it’s time to change the sheets. Then you can have the pleasure of having a neat bed once in a while. I think we moms just seem to need to do that for us (not for them)!
Hiya Kim….his bedroom is pretty much his domain. He likes it organized and is really not a messy guy
When he becomes a teenager in a year, things will once again change *heavy sigh* XO
Hi Coralie, I think it is cozy too and you are right, he should help me make the bed ! Maybe that will be one of my New Year resolutions…
