Good Gosh. The kiddo called me from school today and said he threw up in class. So….there I went to pick him up and check him out of school. Can you believe this !? This is now three weeks in a row that he has been sick one or two days during the week. Well, tomorrow he is not going back to school. I just dont get it either. The only thing I can figure, is that he needs to eat healthier food and cut out the soda pop. But he has been doing much better and not drinking much pop, but we need eat more veggies, well…he does at least, thats all I ever eat. He will not eat anything that I fix for myself, I have to fix seperate meals w/meat for him. I did stop that last weekend, and have not cooked for him since. He used his own money for a fast food item a few days ago. I told him last weekend, when I got so dang upset about the Tyson Chicken incident, that I was no longer cooking for him. I have kept my word too ! Today was easy as he is puking and cannot eat one thing anyways. so HA !
I know, I am a mean Mom some days, but I mean really ! he needs to get w/the program here at home and eat healthy foods. errrrr. Maybe now as he lies miserable on the couch, I can convince him to eat better. sheesh.
Anyways, I do feel terrible that he is sick again. Mostly cuz we might have to cancel our planned camping trip this weekend….just kidding
I hope he feels better soon. The poor guy….
XO

We used to have this deal with our children. They didn’t have to eat what was fixed. But if they wanted to eat they would either eat what was fixed or make their own food. So we generally had bread and lunch meat available for them to make a sandwich.
Throwing up in class is so traumatic. I can still remember doing it in first grade.:(
It’s not all that great for the rest of the class either. I wonder if it is still the same. The janitor comes in to clean it up with this really weird granular stuff. Is this TMI?
I hope he feels better soon.
When I was in 8th grade I used to make myself puke by taking multi-vitamins on an empty stomach to get out of school. I nearly failed due to absences. I was not a good kid…
Hey Kim, We have decided together that we are going to stop ALL fast food, eat more veggies and get healthy ! My son has even agreed to start eating some of my Weight Watcher recipies. I guess he is tired of being sick too !
ick ! that is pretty disgusting Leigh, heeheehee. Pretty smart too, I would have never thought of that ! Luckily my son really loves school. He is still 7th grade tho, but I hope he continues to like school. Thanks for the concern too. XO You are so Sweet !
It’s not easy to monitor our children’s food intake outside the home especially with so many junk food and fast food available all around. It’s good that you do your best to provide healthy food at home.
I hope he is feeling much better now. Take care.
