We had Parent/Teacher Conference last night. Wow. I must have thee best kid I swear! All his teachers only have wonderful things to say about him. He is really growing up to be a terrific kid (soon I will need to change that and say ‘adult’). He will do more in life than sell office supplies for sure! Right now, he has A’s in every class except Math, which was a B+. and we figured out the reason why last night; he is missing 2 assigments. He was placed in a higher Math class the 2nd week of school, so thats why he missed those assignments, he never got them! The Teach is totally cool and said he can make them up and turn them in any ol’ time, no rush, just whenever. I’m like, wow . . . my teachers were never that cool. But then again, I was never that smart in Math either.
So Kudos to my very smart son ! ! His treat today will be Carl’s Jr for dinner. Hey, its what he wanted and we never ever go there. and no . . . I will not eat there, I get Salad for dinner, heeheehee

Well I renewed my subscription for Weight Watchers On Line. There was no fee to re-inroll, but it does cost about $14 per month. I just cant take this anymore. Last night I ate Pizza. I wont say how much Pizza, but it was a lot. I don’t know whats wrong w/me! I just cant seem to control my eating anymore.

I was watching Biggest Looser last night, sitting there, thinking (eating Pizza) . . . these people dont know how to eat healthy, they dont have the support, dont know how to cook healthy. I, however, know all this stuff, have the knowledge and support, but I just dont do it! Why dont I do it !?!?!? I do not know.

So now I am back on WW. I lost 44 pounds with them about 4 years ago. I know I can lose what has become almost 15 pounds with them again. I think it just might be mental on my part. I dont do the WW meetings; I do it alone. Just Me. For Me. and Only Me. Thats how I did it before and thats how I have to do it again. End Of Story.

Well I lost 1 lb, but gained it back just last night! I went out and bought some Candy Corn for Halloween, and ate most of the entire fetchin’ bag yesterday. I have got stop doing that!! Halloween always hurts me every year. My son does not eat Candy, he just doesnt like it, wierd, but I of course, happen to love Candy! sheesh. I am back on track today, mostly cuz there is no candy left in the house!

Our family went to the The Body Worlds show here in SLC yesterday. Right now there are four shows around the world and we were lucky to get one to stop by our little town for a few month. It was pretty enlightning. The show is about Plastination. In short, it’s when they use polymers and fluid plastics to make a type of mold of the human body from the inside out.
The show was pretty much self guided and took a while to get through. At the end my feet and back hurt and I was wishing for some nice home theater seating to rest my butt in. But all in all, it was well worth seeing. Oh, and we went to an all-you-can-eat buffet afterwards, which was very very nice!

Today is the First Day of Fall. It sure feels like it out here. Its about 55 degree, cloudy, rainy and fetchin’ cold. I, of course, had no clue that it was supposed to rain today, so my bedroom window is wide open. sigh. I really need to start watching the weather. The kiddo has been in a ‘Brawl’ mode, and had been playing way too much Wii. I read when he plays and the time goes by fast and I miss the news.
I wonder if it is snowing in the mountains . . .

We have two new additions to our family. Let me tell you that I am not a happy camper on this topic. My son purchased them, including all the accessories with all his own money. The agreement is that I will have NOTHING to do with them. I dont care much for Gerbils. But here are a few pics anyways. As you can see, we are having Cat problems right now. ugh.

I grew up in a family that had lots and lots of parties. No, not THAT kind, but more like Social Occations, Family Gatherings and Holiday Parties. Today, I am quite the opposite. I really dread parties and that kind of social stuff. I’d rather hang out at home. However, since my son is getting older I know that he will want to entertain. Halloween is our fav holiday, well other than Christmas of course! We really decorate the house, so holding a party would fit right in. But, I would still need halloween party ideas, as I am not that creative. On Celebrations.com they have a lot of ideas. I think I would go with their Ossuary Theme. Since I work with a lot of death certificates and what not, I think this would be fun! I would have bones laying about on the floor, perhaps some headstones, boney grave guards, and of course, one of those smoking cauldrons. Dry Ice is So fun! Oh, and of course we’d have to have way cool costumes. No sexy ones, since this will be a teenager party, so I’d be a totally scary creature. I’ll have to search around for just the perfect one. Good thing Celebrations.com has costume ideas too. Oh dear, we would need food stuff too. Perhaps, spider web Guacamole, and Brain dip and Witch Finger Cookies. Oh, I cant wait, this will be fun!

I am sitting here, blogging and watching the news at the same time and was there was this blip about Hersheys changing their chocolate receipe. I guess it doesn’t ‘melt in your mouth’ anymore. People they interviewed were pretty upset, they are calling it ‘Mocolate’ and not ‘Chocolate’. I, on the other hand, never eat anything other than top of the line Chocolate. I only eat the good stuff! One of my favorites is Gertrude Hawk, my gosh they are good! I always say that if you are going to splurg, get the best stuff only. I mean really, its not like I eat it Every Day, okay, every Other Day. But still, ya gotta have Thee Best.

I love to order stuff on Amazon. However, my last experience w/them was, well, lets just say, memorable. It was really not with Amazon direct, but with one of their sellers. I ordered a DVD, Terminator 2 to be exact. A whomping $8.97 purchase in total. I never received my order. I am working on my patience, so I gave them the full 4 weeks ’till I started emailing the seller. He replied the next day saying he would look into it and get back w/me that afternoon. He was very specific and said “that afternoon”. Low and behold, 3 days go by – nothing. I, still trying to be patient here, email nicely asking again, the status of my order. Nothing. 2 days later, I email again. Nothing. I send 5 emails in total. The last one was very evil to say the least; threatening to report them to Amazon, disputing the charge w/my Card, etc etc, etc. By this time, I also received the typical ‘leave your seller feedback’ email. I was very negative, mean, and evil on that one as well. The seller would have never received another order again, by anyone!

Get this, as soon as I submit my feedback, with in hours I get this very long email w/lots of apologies and how this is a small family business and they were out of town, yada yada yada.
Well, to end on a good note: they refunded me the full amount, PLUS, they shipped the DVD and I got it yesterday! So, one free item, not bad I guess, but I could have done w/o all the frustration.
