I am so very glad it is Friday, expecially this week.
I dont mention my job much for fear of them reading my blog while on their pc, but today I just have to vent. They did a reduction of force and got rid of 4 people and merged two teams. I am lucky to still have a job, and I realize that and yes, I still love my job, but I am exhausted. Four people have been trained to do the jobs of the four people they let go and I am one of those four. Meaning, I now do the work of two people. I know a lot of jobs have outsourced customer service and some in my workplace have gone that way as well, but still; I am exhausted!!
And get this; today they announced that we will be getting even more work from another department. Well I cannot take on anymore work, so the other two people on our team will have to get trained. The strange part is that the ones that are getting trained cannot handle all that work either so I have no choice to take on some of their tasks as well. My boss and I had a nice One on One today, and I do feel better, but I am still exhausted. I need to sleep, rest and get work out of my head for the weekend. I dont want to think about it anymore.
Sunday we might go see the new movie “9″. I think it looks pretty good.
