Well I hope ya-all had a great Holiday. Ours was a tad wierd. Thanksgiving was good, but there was wierd vibes all thru the day – just plain wierd. Cant really explain it, but it was just wierd. Dinner was okay, but I guess I am getting old. I just like the traditional dinner; yeah the boring Turkey, rolls, salad, potatoes, etc. This year new things were added and it kinda thru me a little I guess. But all in all it was good w/the Family.
However, the really strange thing that happened was that late Thanksgiving night, our neighbor hung himself. In the garage. Pretty bizarro. It was a noisey night; emergency assistance was called and I guess there is a full investigation in progress as they found lot of drugs in the house and they say that the place is such a mess with filth and what-not, that the place cannot be lived in! The really scary part is that this is a twin home and we are the other half of this house!
Ah well, All in All, I am very Thankfull for my family and friends, and my health, our Pets and my job. I hope Christmas will be better tho w/less Drama!

I cannot believe that Thanksgiving is here already! This year has just flown by. I swear, as I get older the time goes by faster. Total bummer. But, I am ready for Christmas; I love shopping for Christmas presents for my family and friends. I get out the receipt printer, keep track of the funds; yeah I am an organisational nut!
Anyways, I hope ya’ll have a great Thanksgiving. I know I am so very Thankful this year for my family and friends, I love you guys ! !

Last night I was treated to a wonderful Dinner with my Son and his some of his classmates from School. We had a wonderful time. I even tried Escargo (snail); it was pretty good! The restaurant is one of the most high class ones in Utah, so I had to dress up – Here is a pic of me; 10 lbs overweight, ugh:
I really like the red dress tho so I took a chance and squished into it, heeheehee. Today I will have to think about some of those best weight loss pills, as yesterday for desert we had Banana Foster; they flamed the Brandy and everything! It was one nice evening to remember for sure. XO
Every year our family gets together to make Marzipan. I love Marzipan! It is very rich, and some people dont care for it much, but we love it. It is made from Almond Paste and Powder Suger, yum!
We make all kinds of fruit; apples, lemons, oranges, but this year I think my fav is the chocolate covered balls. Very Rich and Creamy! I better take a appetite suppressant before I start munching or I will eat them all !
As we speak, it is finaly snowing! I cant take any pics, cuz its like pitch black out there, but at least it is snowing! Right now there is about an inch-I hope it sticks, heeheehee. I am not like most people, I love driving in the snow. However, my tires are not that new, so I do have to be careful. Dont want to ge in a reck ya know and have to look for auto insurance quotes; no thank you. But this is going to be a short post today. Tomorrow I will post some Marzipan pics.
I have been watching a lot of the History Channel these days. The Kiddo has been busy doing other stuff so he has left me alone with the TV, which is way nice. So – I have been watching all about Hitler and Germany and the war. Its been rather melancholy for sure. My Mom has been telling my sis and I about her memories when she was a kid and the War, but now seeing it on TV with full pictures, sure hits home. Gosh it must have been terrible for kids back then; she was 7 when the War in Germany ended. I remember her telling me how they had to hide in the bomb shelters, food was scarse and I am sure she could have used some Naot shoes. Now tho, she is good and we are going over to her place for dinner and Marzipan tomorrow. I love making Marzipan w/the family! I hope to share some pics tomorrow.
The kids end-of-quarter grades came back the other day. Our family likes to see report cards! He got 5 A’s and 2 A-’s, not to shabby! I am once again a proud Mom! and a Poor one. for each A he gets money and he pretty much wiped me out this time, but thats fine with me! I hope that in the future he will get a wonderful job making lots of money, but most of all – that he is happy in his job. And if that means he will be creating cardboard displays, as long as he is happy so am I!
I used to really hate Wednesdays. But now I rather like them a lot. It is my short day at work, and I get to work only a half day. So Nice! Got a lot done today as well; its only about 6pm and I am actually done with all my chores, including dinner! This means I get to rest on the couch with my tradional Hot Chocolate. I make it with real milk and real cocoa, its better that way. Some nights I do crave a nice cup of coffee or even a jura capresso, but I cannot take the caffein anymore, so I get Hot Chocolate. Still, it IS chocolate and I gotta have my daily dose of Chocolate!
Wow, what a difference one day makes. Today – no time for nothing! Kids over, running around, busy busy busy. No las vegas vacation packages for me anytime soon. I dont know how some people do it tho, with more than one child. I look up to them for sure.
Tonight it is cold; no fire as we have been in and out a lot. The good news tho, is that it is supposed to snow again in a few days, wee hee! I love the snow. Cant have Christmas with snow for sure. Plus, we hope to put up the Tree this weekend and . . . make Marzipan! I love getting together with family each year to make the Marzipan, its very special for me and I vow to continue it every year.
Well time for more laundry, eGads. Such Fun. Not.

Well here I sit, on a snow wintery day in November. I have a nice fire going, cozy and warm. The bummer part is that I happen to be all alone. The kiddo is off w/his friends (which is VERY nice) and I can watch the SyFy Channel. So a nice relaxing Saturday afternoon for me. Sometimes tho, I actually miss having someone around, like a boyfriend. Yes, it is a very rare thing for me these days, to even think about boyfriends, but some days . . . it would be nice.
